Our Policies
A deposit of the first night’s stay will be charged to guarantee your reservation. The balance for the remainder of your reservation dates is due upon arrival.
The Big Sur River Inn requires three (3) days notice to cancel or change any portion of your reservation. Refunds will be issued if you cancel or change any portion of your reservation more than three (3) days* prior to scheduled arrival, less a $20.00 cancellation fee. Policies Group reservations are subject to a 2-week cancel policy, and a $20.00 per room cancellation fee.
A no show will forfeit the reservation deposit. We will cancel any additional nights the following morning.
Check in is any time after 4:00pm, checkout is at 12:00pm.
Our guestrooms are clean, comfortable and smoke-free.
There are no telephones in our guestrooms as is customary in the area.
There is no smoking, vaping or burning of incense or candles in our guest rooms.
Although we enjoy pets as much as anyone, not all of our guests feel the same way so we ask that you comply with our no pets policy and leave them at home.
The Big Sur River Inn offers one ADA room on the first floor (a Riverside Suite) and features a large bathroom with roll-in shower, both a fixed shower head and an adjustable height hand held shower head, a shower bench, grab bars around the commode and in the shower stall, and a roll-under sink.
Bathroom provides ample turning radius. The room has a sound fire/smoke alarm. The room is accessible from the ADA designated space in the parking lot via an accessible path of travel.
ADA Accessible
Reception and Front Desk are available from the ADA parking space via an accessible path of travel as well. The restaurant, general store and lawn area may be accessed using level walkways along the front of the property.
