Monterey Peninsula Airport Most major airlines flying into San Jose, San Francisco International Airport and Los Angeles have commuter flights to Monterey Airport. Monterey Airport also has direct service from Denver, Las Vegas, and Phoenix, Monterey Airport is located approximately 30 miles from Big Sur Valley.

San Jose International Airport Shuttle flights from San Jose to Monterey are available. San Jose Airport is approximately 120 miles north of the River Inn and is about a 2 hour drive.

San Francisco International Airport Shuttle flights from San Francisco to Monterey are available. San Francisco Airport is approximately 150 miles north of Big Sur and about a 3 hour drive.
